Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Faith Lemah, operating as a sole proprietor doing business as Scenvox ("Scenvox," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the Scenvox website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Scenvox. If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.

2. The Service

Scenvox is an AI-native streaming and creator platform that allows creators to publish and distribute content, and allows users to discover and consume that content. We may add, change, or remove features of the Service at any time.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to notify us promptly at scenvox@gmail.com of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.

4. Creator Content

4.1 Ownership. You retain ownership of any content you upload, publish, or distribute through Scenvox ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Scenvox a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, distribute, display, and perform that content solely as necessary to operate, promote, and improve the Service.

4.2 Your responsibilities. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to all User Content you submit, and that it does not infringe or violate the rights of any third party, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.

4.3 Prohibited content. You may not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, obscene, harassing, or that violates the rights of others. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate this section at our discretion.

4.4 AI disclosure. Follow our Content & AI Disclosure Policy, including its requirements for labeling material AI use, respecting likeness and intellectual property rights, and content review and removal.

5. Payments, Subscriptions & Fees

5.1 Payment processing. Payments on Scenvox are processed through Paystack, a third-party payment processor. By making a payment, you agree to Paystack's terms and privacy policy in addition to these Terms. We do not store your full payment card details. Subscriptions are billed as a single charge per billing period and do not auto-renew. Your plan reverts to Starter (free) at the end of the period unless you manually renew.

5.2 Creator monetization. Scenvox does not currently offer a creator payout or revenue-share mechanism, and subscription revenue is not automatically shared with creators. If we introduce creator payouts in the future, payout schedules, applicable fees, and any revenue-share terms will be described in a separate creator agreement or in-app disclosure, which will form part of these Terms at that time.

5.3 Refunds. All purchases made through Scenvox are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at scenvox@gmail.com and we will review the request.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts; (c) upload malware or interfere with the Service's operation; (d) scrape, reverse-engineer, or misuse the Service's AI systems; (e) impersonate any person or entity; or (f) use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm another person.

Reporting & Enforcement

Report a violation. Signed-in users can use the Report button on any title or creator page, which sends the report privately to Scenvox for review. You can also email scenvox@gmail.com with the content URL, a description of the concern, and relevant evidence. This includes rights violations, deceptive deepfakes, harassment, and missing or misleading AI disclosures. Copyright notices and counter-notices follow section 7 below.

Review and action. We review the reported content, its context, disclosures, and available evidence, and may ask for more information. Depending on severity and repetition, we may issue a warning or request a correction, remove or restrict content, suspend an account, or permanently ban it. Serious violations may lead to immediate removal or a ban without a prior warning.

Appeals. Email scenvox@gmail.com with “Content appeal” in the subject, the content URL or account identifier, the decision being challenged, and supporting evidence. We will review the appeal and communicate the outcome by email. We do not guarantee reinstatement or a fixed review deadline.

7. Intellectual Property & Copyright / DMCA Policy

7.1 Our IP. The Scenvox name, logo, platform, and underlying technology are owned by Scenvox and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to our trademarks or branding without prior written consent.

7.2 Copyright complaints. Scenvox respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content on Scenvox infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated contact at scenvox@gmail.com including: (a) a description of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (b) the location (URL) of the allegedly infringing material; (c) your contact information; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized; and (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner.

7.3 Response to notices. Upon receiving a valid notice, we may remove or disable access to the reported content and, where applicable, notify the user who posted it. We may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

7.4 Counter-notice. A user whose content was removed may submit a counter-notice to scenvox@gmail.com disputing the takedown, and we will handle it in accordance with applicable law.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Paystack (payments), Supabase (data infrastructure), and Vercel (hosting). Your use of the Service is also subject to the applicable terms of these providers where relevant. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting scenvox@gmail.com.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scenvox and Faith Lemah shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Scenvox in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scenvox and Faith Lemah from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on the Service or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
